Abstract: 

In this paper, Vienna rectifier has been inspected as one of the prominent topologies among three-level switched-mode rectifiers. A Fast Processing discontinuous modulation strategy has been proposed with the aim of improving the rectifier’s performance. The proposed method not only takes advantage of special properties available in three-phase three-level rectifiers, but also reduces the control design complexity and the switching loss. Moreover, neutral point voltage balancing is inherently realized. To achieve these goals, the rectifier is decoupled into two 2-level boost converters in every defined region, leading to simple modulation algorithm and Fast Processing control strategy. The validity of the proposed technique has been verified via simulation and experimental results conducted on a laboratory prototype.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Long-term clinical evaluation of dental implants and their surrounding structures is of utmost importance to acquire knowledge about reasons for implant success and failure.However, accurate and reproducible results are difficult to obtain. The aim of the present study was to examine bone height around endosseous implants on Digital conventional radiographs (DCR) and direct Digital subtraction images (DSI) prior to loading.Materials and methods: In this experimental study, bone height around 10 implants in 6 patients was assessed by 2 observers. Standardized Digital radiographs were obtained just a week and 3 months postoperatively and subtracted by means of EMAGO software. Then the observers evaluated bone height on DCRs and DSIs. MINITAB software and paired t-test were used for statistical analysis (a=0.05).Results: Comparative evaluation of bone height indicated significantly higher values on DCR than on DSI (p value=0.002). The observers also had statistically significant variability in this assessment (p value=0.00003).Conclusion: DSI demonstrated lower values of linear measurement of bone height around endosseous implants compared with DCR. Interobserver variability should be considered when comparing values from follow-up studies.

Abstract: 

The elements of the concrete structure are most frequently affected by cracking. Crack detection is essential to ensure safety and performance during its service life. Cracks do not have a regular shape, in order to achieve the exact dimensions of the crack; the general mathematical formulae are by no means applicable. The authors have proposed a new method which aims to measure the crack dimensions of the concrete by utilizing Digital image Processing technique. A new algorithm has been defined in MATLAB. The acquired data has been analyzed to obtain the most precise results. Here both the length and width of the crack are obtained from image Processing by removing background noise for the accuracy of measurement. A semi-automatic methodology is adapted to measure the crack length and crack width. The applicability of the program is verified with the past literature works.

Abstract: 

The multipliers are important blocks that used in Digital Processing modern systems. So, design of the efficient multiplier is important advantage for Digitally computational system. In some Processing fields as the signal Processing, the specified level of the error is acceptable, so used of accurate multiplier in the all of the Processing fields is not essential. One of the important blocks of the multiplier is the compressor that is used in stage of the partial multiplication for decreasing operations. In this paper, new design of the 5: 3 and 15: 4 approximate compressors are proposed, the power consumption, propagation delay and error distance of proposed compressors in the comparison others have proper operating, with used of the proposed approximate compressors designed the approximate 16*16-bit multiplier. The overall of the proposed approximate multiplier is simulated and implemented by 180 nm CMOS technology and 1. 8 V power supply by the Cadence tools. The result of simulation is shown that propagation delay proposed 5: 3 compressors is 0. 76 ns and power consumption is 0. 935 μ W with ± 2 error distance. And also, the proposed 15: 4 compressor has 1. 12 ns propagation delay, 4. 75 μ W power consumption.

Abstract: 

Currently, to obtain the dynamic properties of structures in structural engineering, experimental relationships, mathematical models and computer software aids are mainly used. These dynamic properties depend on many details about material behavior and the compound of the structures, which could not all be taken into account in analytical models. Therefore, there are always differences between the analytical models and the actual structures. So, seismic tests on structures is the most reliable method for obtaining these properties, so far, various methods have been developed in the world to preform these seismic experiments on the experimental structures such as image Processing method. In this paper, the image Processing method utilized through the dynamic properties of structures for mass change detection in the structure. For this purpose, a cantilever beam oscillated and the recorded displacements are considered as the inputs of the system identification. By deriving these displacements twice, the acceleration of the structure obtained and by Processing these accelerations, natural frequency and shape mode of structure have been extracted and compared with the results of the accelerometer sensors embedded on the structure. Finally, mode shape curvature method utilized and the location of the sensors on the structure has been detected with good accuracy.
